Okay so it’s not yaoi but I’d really like some feedback on this guy. Legs always give me trouble, and this picture was no exception.

Ok, legs are something I’ve always been uncomfortable with myself and to tell the truth I’ve only just started to get the hang of it, but I’ll share how I deal with them anyway because good legs are nice and something we should all strive for U_U

(Ok the curves aren’t ALL that exaggerated but like I said I’m still not the best at legs so exaggerating the curves resulted in… a normal… looking… leg…. lol)
That cyan bit there is what I mean when I talk about the flow of energy bouncing around inside the form. Legs are hard because they’re a bunch of muscle strung out over a long, thin area, so the relationship between the left and right drawn edges is really easy to get wrong (rather, it’s easier to notice when it’s wrong because there’s so little space between the two sides so there’s no possibility of your brain fudging it) The green lines represent the back and forth, opposite to opposite pattern that is a theme to keep in mind for the entire leg. The diagram in the middle shows how all the sticking out points on the inside of the leg when viewed from the front more or less line up.

Here are other angles, notice again the opposite to opposite thing with the straight vs. round. Also don’t draw your butt too high

and finally, male hips. they’re a lot subtler than female hips so it’s harder to draw them for most people. A simple way to approach would be to start as if you were about to draw female hips, but when you get to the thin part of the waist, lower the angle somewhat. This results in the widest part of the hips being down farther, probably just below the genitals. For the rest of the leg, it’s ok to just continue as if you’re drawing a female leg lol just add hair to it or something idk. Seriously though male and female LEGS aren’t different (I guess you could say male legs are liable to be beefier, but whatever then it’s just beefy female legs perhaps with hair who knows only you can make this important decision for yourself), it’s the hips that make the difference.
